CTS and our range of independent UKAS accredited laboratories provide on-site testing and laboratory services to the construction, quarry products and civil engineering industries across the whole of the UK.
Our purpose-built laboratories are fully equipped to test the mechanical, physical and chemical properties of soils, aggregates, concrete and bituminous materials as well as other construction materials and products.
Our highly-trained technicians and engineers either visit sites and take representative samples for subsequent laboratory testing, or conduct in-situ field tests.
We are looking for a Senior Technician working in Operation to assist with the day to day works for our Bristol site team.
As a Senior Technician working in Operations you'll be involved with the planning, coordination and control of all site services operations for Bristol Hub. You'll make sure services are provided efficiently and where required to the clients’ time frame to a level of quality.
Work with other departments to ensure clients requests are met and will report to the operations supervisor and regional operations manager.

You will need to have:
*Proven technical and industry experience planning and organisation skills to be able run and monitor site services.
*The ability to act decisively and solve equipment related problems
*ICT literacy
*To deal with various technologies and programmes Attention to detail to ensure high levels of quality
* The ability to communicate clearly and persuasively with Bristol site team and clients
*The ability to work under pressure and motivate others to meet tight deadlines.
* Ability to work in a logical, systematic manner.
* Cover sickness Responsibilities
you will need to:
* Oversee site services and testing schedules.
* Decide what resources are required
* Monitor the testing processes and adjust schedules as needed
* Work with Operations supervisor, Managers and Directors to implement the company's policies and goals
* Be part of setting the quality standards with the Senior Management
*Assist with monitoring and maintenance of equipment
* Assist with Identifying training needs and compile training records
* Assist with implementation of quality-control programmes
* Maintenance of Quality Management System/ Procedures at laboratory
* Notification of nonconforming work and complaints to Operation supervisor, Operations Manager/ Quality Manager
* Ensure all procedures/ standards are current/ updated and followed
* Ensure that health and safety guidelines are followed
* Supervise and motivate site team of workers Review worker performance
Role Performance Measures :
* Timely completion of test schedules
* Accuracy of administration and attention to detail of workload
* Health & Safety adherence
* Quality control procedure adherence.
Experience:
Minimum 4 years’ experience of working in laboratory / site environment Understands demands of ISO 17025 accredited laboratory Technical Understanding of construction testing within role. Working hours: 40 hours per week Monday to Friday and will need a clean drivers licence.
