Hours of Work: 4.5 day week Staff Benefits: Life Insurance, Medicash scheme, Free car parking on site, Canteen, Career progression, Flexitime wbstaff Job Title: Material Planner / Scheduler Department: All Service One Reports To: Material Manager Purpose of Post To purchase material for the All Service One retail, repairs and warranty departments, always ensuring maximum availability of core stock items. Key Tasks 1. Responsible for the procurement of materials via ERP System using Bill of material, MRP and purchase order requisitions for bus parts, rejects, re-buys, consumables, and service items 2. Communicate purchase orders effectively to suppliers. 3. To schedule and expedite material into the group. 4. Report Daily on constraints likely to affect sales backorders 5. Attend and report to Purchasing Meetings on material shortages. 6. Work closely with the Commercial Buyers in relation to supplier KPI measurement 7. To facilitate vendor reviews as required. 8. Monitor stock levels and maximise First Pick stock rates 9. Liaise with Stores to ensure material is booked in correctly and that supplier quality is monitored 10. Liaise with suppliers on delivery key performance indicators - such as delivery on time, delivery note and invoice queries, etc 11. To help develop, maintain and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures for self and team 12. To report individual performance and set targets for improvement. Also actively contribute to achieving departmental goals and objectives. 13. Participate in Stock Take or Cycle Counts if required. 14. Any other duties as requested by Senior Management from time to time. General Undertake all duties in line with General Data Protection and maintain utmost level of confidentiality. Ensure work is completed to meet the requirements of the ISO 9001 standard.
