Job Description:

As an Instructional Designer, you’ll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining training materials to meet the evolving needs of various stakeholders across the organization. You will curate and manage the training library, create training plans, and ensure content is up-to-date and aligned with organizational objectives. Leveraging data analysis techniques, evaluate the efficacy of training programs, and recommend alternative changes to improve service delivery.
What does your typical day look like?
1. Promote a culture of innovation to ensure we remain highly effective in our service delivery;
2. Ensure optimized training design & evaluation techniques are deployed;
3. Increase employee satisfaction and engagement relating to training content;
4. Create detailed training plans based on established business objectives and needs;
5. Curate and manage developed content in the LMS and in our training library;
6. Optimize and innovate on existing solutions to enhance our service delivery;
7. Communicate & collaborate with key stakeholders to refine our training content and frequently collaborate with others on the team to help the organization achieve their goals;
8. Remain organized and regularly analyze data while managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
What skills and experience are we looking for?
1. At least 12 months in current role;
2. Bachelor’s degree in either Human Resources, Education, Communication, or a related field preferred;
3. 3 to 5 years of training and instructional design experience required. Data analysis experience is an asset;
4. Underwriter product knowledge and understanding of their culture and expectations;
5. Strong knowledge of needs assessment, adult learning techniques, and instructional design techniques;
6. Database management, data representation, and the ability to utilize a variety of software programs (Office 365, Rise etc.) to develop training systems;
7. Strong verbal and written English communication skills. French and Spanish are an asset;
8. 6 months contract.
