Job summary
Newington Ward is a busy, Acute medical admissions unit for over 75 year old frail are a 28 bedded unit with a multi-disciplinary team working to assess, treat and discharge patients within 5-9days. We are looking for experienced Staff Nurses to join our team you will share your knowledge and experience with the ward; you will need to be well motivated and committed to high standards of patient care and to your personal professional development.
Whether you are just starting out on your Nursing career, looking for a change of job, working in a Nursing Home or even returning to practice, we would welcome the opportunity to meet with you. Caring for short stay frailty patients ensures a varied role where staff can learn specialty care for those who may have multiple medical conditions, are on multiple medications and are often require specialist support at home or in their care homes. Staff will also support patients who are acutely unwell, may also have poor recognition (dementia & delirium), difficulty in walking, falls and return for your hard work and dedication, East Sussex Healthcare Trust offers excellent opportunities for career progression.
We also work closely with the University of Brighton and offer valuable management placements for nursing students and professional development as well as a personal induction programme.
