This unique role as a teacher involves providing 1 to 1 tutoring support for a small group of students, focusing on designing, planning, and delivering tailored learning episodes that meet the individual interests, needs, and wellbeing of each student. The role is based on site in Congleton but there are elements of learning that are delivered off site. The school supports students in accessing bespoke learning opportunities that focus on their interests while also helping them achieve core qualifications such as SATs or GCSEs. Additionally, the school offers several vocational study options, including beauty and catering, and utilises the local area to develop life skills, ensuring that students are prepared for the next step in their educational journey and equipped to lead fulfilling adult lives. * Support a maximum of four students throughout the week, ensuring personalised attention and individualised support.
* Design, plan, and deliver learning episodes that are creative, engaging, and relevant to each student's interests and needs.
* Assist students in working towards formal qualifications, including GCSEs, A-levels, or vocational options, by accessing appropriate curriculum and resources.
* Develop subject knowledge where needed and demonstrate a willingness to continuously improve teaching practices.
* Commute to planned activities using the company car and compensate mileage for home visits if necessary.
* Build strong rapport with students to encourage self-confidence, resilience, and the recognition of their potential.
* Recognise and regulate student's emotions, promote emotional intelligence, and implement strategies to overcome challenges.
* Collaborate with Teaching Assistants to facilitate learning and deliver sessions effectively.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Fully qualified teacher status with QTS. This post would be suitable for an ECT (Early Careers) Teacher
* Experience working with students with SEND and SEMH needs is desirable but not essential.
* As a teacher you would have a deep understanding of diverse learning needs and strategies to support students effectively.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.
* Creativity, adaptability, and a willingness to think outside the box to meet student's individual needs.
* Strong organisational skills to plan and deliver personalised learning episodes efficiently.
* Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and external professionals to provide holistic support for students.
