Job overview
Chartridge Ward has an exciting opportunity for a Band 5 Staff Nurse to join their team on a 6 month fixed term contract. This post would be suitable for individuals who have completed their post-registration Preceptorship period due to the short-term nature of the opportunity.
Main duties of the job
Chartridge Ward is a 22 bedded ward within the Community & Rehab Care Group. We care for individuals who are medically optimised for discharge but require nursing support until appropriate care is put in place.
During your time on Chartridge Ward, you will gain a wide range of knowledge and nursing skills, including:
* Patient assessment
* Care Planning
* Tissue Viability & Wound Management
* Palliative Care & Symptom Management
* Diabetes Management
* Continence management
As a Band 5 Nurse, you will also support student nurses and more junior colleagues.

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING
* Evidence of recent Continuing Professional Development (CPD) or willing to undertake further training.
EXPERIENCE
* Demonstrate some experience post or pre-registration placements in relevant clinical areas.
* Working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
SKILLS, ABILITIES & KNOWLEDGE
* Effective communication with patients, relatives, carers, and other professionals.
* Caring for patients without prejudice.
* Able to work under pressure.
* Knowledge of the NMC Code of Professional Conduct.
* Able to prioritise workload.
* Flexible within team roster.
Special Circumstances
* Ability to travel to different locations / across site.
