What you'll do
The Financial Crime Manager will play a pivotal role in supporting the Senior Compliance and Financial Crime Advice Manager in delivering a robust compliance framework across all Vodafone UK products and delivery channels. This role involves leading the implementation and oversight of effective controls to ensure we meet our regulatory obligations.
In this position, you will provide Vodafone UK with clear regulatory interpretations and establish corresponding policy expectations. By taking a proportionate approach to risk-rating and assessment, you will ensure that our business consistently operates within our legal and regulatory risk appetites.
1. Support the Senior Compliance & Financial Crime Advice Manager in designing and implementing a fit for purpose operational model to manage financial crime risk & compliance, including horizon scanning.
2. Establish and maintain a constructive dialogue with relevant regulators, including the NCA and FCA, ensuring compliance with regulatory activities.
3. Engage across the business and Group to find compliant solutions to financial crime regulatory/policy compliance issues.
4. Lead Vodafone UK activity to design, implement and execute annual risk assessment across all core financial crime compliance disciplines.
5. Ensure effective governance and reporting, including regular KPIs/KRIs and escalation of issues to the Risk & Compliance Committee.
6. Responsible for regulatory reporting obligations including reporting suspicious activities and ownership for breach reporting.
7. Lead the reporting of annual risk assessment outcomes to Senior Leadership and Vodafone Group.
8. Design and deliver training across the business covering key topics within the financial crime remit.
9. Lead the strategy for stakeholder communications across Vodafone UK and Group, ensuring positive relationships and awareness of compliance delivery requirements.
10. Oversee the delivery of strategic action plans to close compliance gaps or deliver improvements following audits.
11. Interact with senior stakeholders to provide advice on sensitive matters related to financial crime compliance.
Who you are
• Experience in a similar role in Financial Services, at Manager level, within a financial crime/compliance discipline.
• Proven experience of 2nd line Sanctions/AML/ABC advisory expertise.
• Strong working knowledge of Sanctions/AML/ABC technology and systems.
• Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills, including experience writing policies and reports.
• Experience dealing with regulators and external bodies in the financial crime compliance space.
• Advanced stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
