H is a friendly and intelligent 21 year old living in the Denton area of Tameside, who would like some support to reduce her isolation, by having someone she can build a strong working relationship with to help her regain confidence in a community setting.
The support required is flexible, but is mainly tailored around:
• Going to places she enjoys to improve her confidence in being out in a community setting again.
• Prompting with her medication and supporting her to attend appointments.
• Supporting her at home with daily living skills, things such as helping her to plan, shop for and make healthier meals. Also finances and diary planning.
• Using public transport. Arrange to meet her in the community and for her to get the bus independently rather than meeting at her home.
If you are an encouraging and outgoing Support Worker who could make a positive difference to H and have experience of working with people with autism, then please get in touch.
The role:
• 6 hours per week, ideally with some of this at weekends. It would suit someone looking for flexible work.
• £12 per hour, reviewed each April.
• Funding can be requested for suitable training courses.
• CAR DRIVER ESSENTIAL
