Progress Teachers are currently seeking an experienced Behaviour Mentor to work within a mainstream Leicestershire Secondary School. The successful candidate will work closely with pupils with challenging behaviours, supporting them to engage well with their learning and make positive academic and personal progress.
Your role will include:
Behavioural Support:
Implementing effective behaviour management strategies to foster positive student behaviour.
Providing one-on-one or small-group interventions to address behavioural challenges.
Collaborating with teachers and support staff to develop and implement behaviour support plans.
Academic Support:
Assisting students with academic tasks and offering additional support as needed.
Working closely with teachers to adapt learning materials and activities to meet individual student needs.
Monitoring and recording student progress, collaborating with the teaching team to address learning gaps.
Emotional Support:
Building positive relationships with students to promote emotional well-being.
Providing a safe and nurturing environment for students to express themselves in.
Recognising and responding to the social and emotional needs of students.
Safeguarding:
Liaising with pastoral and safeguarding teams to address bullying concerns or negative behaviours.
Logging all safeguarding concerns accurately and securely for reporting and actioning.
