South Tyneside and Sunderland NHS Foundation Trust
Undergraduate Medical Education requires committed and interested staff to enable students to make the most of the teaching opportunities available. We have 4 posts for teachers to join the team. These posts will be to work with either the University of Sunderland or the Newcastle University teaching teams.
The roles will involve teaching alongside the current designated specialty teams while taking a lead in some of the more complex planning and delivery of key concepts of education. The successful candidates will have the opportunity to study for the PG Certificate in Medical Education with designated study time.
This post offers the opportunity to gain broad experience within the undergraduate teaching team. There are no existing designated clinical sessions as the post is 100% teaching.
We are available to meet prospective applicants and give them the opportunity to visit the hospital and meet colleagues with whom they will be working. We find this helps candidates to gain a greater understanding of the department and the post and also to find out if they would be happy joining our team.
