Job Description
Part Time Optical Assistant / Receptionist required for an independent practice based in Bradford.
Duties
* Greeting patients and providing exceptional customer service.
* Answering phones and handling correspondence.
* Maintaining patient records and scheduling appointments.
* Frame styling and dispensing spectacles.
* Filing and general administration, including pre-screening.
* Assisting optometrists during examinations by preparing necessary tools and materials.
* Conducting preliminary tests such as visual acuity checks.
* Processing orders for eyewear and contact lenses, ensuring accuracy in prescriptions.
* Managing inventory levels of optical supplies and assisting with restocking as needed.
* Staying updated on the latest optical products and services.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in an optical or healthcare setting is preferred but not essential.
* Basic knowledge of anatomy related to the eye is advantageous.
* Familiarity with laboratory procedures and equipment is beneficial.
* Excellent communication skills with a customer-focused attitude.
* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
