We are looking for a competitive and competent Clinical band 7 clinician with a caring and positive attitude to join our team. We are based in St Peters Hospital in Chertsey and provide a core 24/7 service. Our clinicians work long days and unsocial hours including weekends and nights. We are an assessment and signposting service for patients in the general hospital, and we liaise with internal and external partners for signposting. We deliver teaching to the acute hospital staff and work collaboratively to deliver an excellent service. Our team consists of band 6 and 7 nurses, a working age and older age consultant, clinical psychologist, and service manager.
We are a kind, compassionate, and caring team offering an assessment and signposting service for patients with mental health needs who attend the General Hospital.
Our service has PLAN (Psychiatric Liaison Accredited Network) accreditation with the Royal College of Psychiatrists. We also have a good rating from our peer standard review. Our trust is supportive of staff with flexible working needs.

By providing expert interventions and oversight to the care of people within the Acute General hospital pathway. I will ensure that the care delivered is excellent and in keeping with the most up-to-date guidelines.
I will support the growth and development of other members of the Liaison psychiatry team while supporting the service manager and wider Trust to achieve an exemplary CORE24 service underpinning our visions and values. My role will include providing education, challenging stigma, and actively supporting service improvement and development.
I will put the experience of the person using the service at the center of my decision-making while building a supportive and responsive relationship with colleagues in the Acute Trust.
I will build outstanding relationships with all relevant services and will lead on clinically challenging and complex cases across the lifespan.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Clinical qualification at Diploma level or above in Mental Health nursing, Occupational Therapy, or Social Work with evidence of transferable mental health skills and practice.
* Registration with a registered body.
* Post qualification training to degree level.
Experience
* Extensive experience of working with people with a variety of mental health issues.
* Demonstrable expertise in complex assessment of people with both mental and physical health issues.
* Demonstrable ability to develop practical innovations and approaches to issues and complex problems.
* Expertise and experience in supervision and supporting the growth of other staff.
