Billing & Revenue Co-ordinator
Contract: 15-month fixed-term contract
Hours: 40 hours, Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Salary: Depending on experience
Are you a highly organized administrator with experience in an administrative role? We have a rare opportunity at KIMS Hospital to join our Finance Team as a Billing & Revenue Co-ordinator.
As a Billing & Revenue Co-ordinator, you will collate billing information and generate accurate outpatient and inpatient invoices in line with predefined hospital tariffs. You will work closely with other members of the finance team, patient admissions, and other stakeholders.
Role Responsibilities Include
1. Ensure all patient details and billing information are correct, using the hospital computer system.
2. Produce invoices and collect payments from patients on the day of attendance if required.
3. Ensure all charges are correctly allocated to the patient’s account prior to printing invoices.
4. Liaise with Theatres, Patient Admissions, and Finance regarding procedures.
5. Contact insurers and third parties regarding debts to ensure prompt payment.
6. Answer queries from Medical Secretaries, Insurance companies, patients, and the Patient Admissions team.
7. Assist patients with account queries face-to-face and via telephone.
8. Send chasing letters for outstanding payments.
9. Contact patients regarding final demand payments.
Essential Person Specification
* At least 2 years of experience within a finance role
* Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written
* Impeccable telephone manner
* Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office packages
Desirable
* Knowledge of medical terminology
* Experience within a healthcare environment
* NVQ Level 2 in Customer Service & Administration or equivalent knowledge
