Job Description
Alpine F1 Team have an opportunity within the Composites Department as a Composite Technician – Kit Cutter on our night shift.
Composite Technician (Kit Cutting) - The Role
The main responsibilities of this role will be to supply prepreg kits in good time to respect event calendars and department requirements and inventory management of all composites laminating materials and chilled storage areas.
They will liaise with key departmental stakeholders and other departments to communicate requirements clearly and effectively.
Key accountabilities include:
1. Accurate inventory management of all prepreg materials, including stock rotation and lifing considerations.
2. Check kits are correct, adjusting as necessary for efficient use of material and accurate ply placement.
3. Operation of ply cutting machine, including liaising with manufacturer regarding any service or repair requirements.
4. Manual digitising of templates where required.
5. Monitoring prepreg stock and implementing best use of RFID asset tracking system.
Composite Technician (Kit Cutting) – The Person
The successful candidate will be from an engineering background and be able to interpret engineering drawings. They will possess good PC skills and work well as team members. Excellent communication skills and a keen eye for detail are a must, alongside the ability to work under pressure. They may have worked in a similar role before in a manufacturing department.
Although experience would be advantageous, this could be a great opportunity for someone to break into F1 Composites.
