Responsibilities
1. Manage and review design packages by consultants to ensure delivery of building designs meets expectations.
2. Ensure systems are designed against a clear statement of compliance with defined requirements, including safety functional requirements and demonstration that the design meets relevant HSE requirements.
3. Line manages a small team of multidisciplinary technical engineers to review deliverables.
4. Provide Subject Matter Expert advice and technical design guidance and review of overall design packages.
5. Ensure design documentation covers the scope of operations required by the Project Manager and is produced to agreed standards, schedule, and budget.
6. Plan for effective project implementation, identifying key factors and contributing to the project's technical planning process.
7. Ensure effective Quality Management Arrangements operate and deliver through compliance with the company's Business Management System and Technical Manual
What You Need to Succeed
8. Experience in the design and construction of major new industrial buildings with multifunctionality (workshops, storage, offices, etc.)
9. Proven experience in managing multidisciplinary design teams and reviewing design packages.
10. Strong technical engineering skills, with a minimum of a bachelor's degree in architecture or engineering
11. Chartered Architect or Engineer registration with an appropriate body is desirable.
12. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and priorities.
13. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders and team members.
14. Familiarity with high-hazard facilities in the nuclear sector or hospitals is beneficial.
15. Willingness to complete company-specific courses on appointment, such as site induction, fire safety, diversity, anti-bribery, and data protection
