You will possess DCR (R) or BSc Radiography with current HCPC registration and evidence of postgraduate study. We actively encourage postgraduate study and role extension.

To perform a comprehensive range of MRI procedures without supervision and also provide training and supervision for radiographers and students in MRI imaging techniques and safety.
Adhere to department protocols and guidelines, adapting techniques as appropriate to patient condition considering the high radiation dose of CT examinations/reduce the risk of exposure to magnetic fields for MRI and where appropriate to offer advice on other imaging options.
The post holder will justify, authorise, and protocol CT/MRI requests as per departmental protocol and refer requests which do not adhere to policy to a Consultant Radiologist.
The post holder will have responsibility for the day-to-day management of staff working within the CT and MRI department in accordance with the Trust's policies and procedures.
Take part in both the extended working day and emergency duty rosters.
Applications will be accepted from individuals with experience in a single modality, CT or MRI, with a willingness to train in the other.
