SEN Teaching Assistant (ARP)
About the Role:
SEN Teaching Assistant (ARP): Teach Now is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a thriving, supportive school in Enfield. You will be working in the school's ARP (Autism Resource Provision) with a group of 10 children, all of whom have high-functioning autism (ASD). The role will involve working closely with a team of 4 other adults to provide tailored support for students, many of whom are non-verbal. Some students may also require personal care and the role may involve assisting with physical interventions when necessary. Your expertise in managing challenging behaviours and creating a safe and engaging learning environment will be crucial.
This is a full-time, temporary role starting on 03/03/2025. The school has a strong, inclusive ethos and offers an environment where staff work collaboratively to ensure every child reaches their potential.

SEN TA Applicants Should:
1. Have experience working with children with ASD or other special educational needs.
2. Be confident in supporting non-verbal students and assisting with personal care needs.
3. Be patient, empathetic, and able to manage challenging behaviours.
4. Hold relevant qualifications, such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or similar (desirable but not essential).
5. Have a positive attitude and a genuine passion for supporting children with SEN.
