Overview:
We are currently seeking an Area Sales Manager to join our commercial team, based in the UK.
As an Area Sales Manager you will play a pivotal role in driving sales and providing product expertise to clients interested in specifying/purchasing Breedon Roof Tile.
Key Responsibilities
* Technical Consultation: Provide expert guidance and advice to potential clients on the technical aspects of Breedon Tiles, field questions technical product capabilities, accreditation standards, and basic design advice.
* Customer Support: Serve as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries, addressing questions related to product features, performance, and offer timely and effective solutions to ensure customer satisfaction.
* Sales Development: Collaborate with colleagues (commercial and operational) to develop tailored business proposals for prospective clients, highlighting the features and benefits of specifying/purchasing Breedon Tile.
* Site Visits: Visit sites as required to ensure customer satisfaction, address/resolve any technical/commercial challenges that may arise, and develop a line of communication to minimize the risk of customer frustration.
* Visits to Builders merchants, developers, and Housebuilders; highlighted customer types are our main target audience, it's vital that the candidate can grow contacts/business across this cohort and demonstrate progress in respect of this market sector.
* Training and Education: Deliver training sessions and workshops for clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to increase awareness and understanding of Breedon Tile.
* Market Analysis: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor products, and regulatory requirements to identify opportunities for product enhancement and market expansion.
* Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, project specifications, and sales activities. Generate regular reports to track sales performance and identify areas for improvement.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
* Proven experience in developing sales pipelines and achieving business growth.
* Strong understanding of decision-making processes within the highlighted sales channels and can demonstrate past success in navigating customer decision making to achieve business growth.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information in a clear and concise manner.
* Customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional service and building long-term relationships.
* Good level of IT skills, ability to produce quotations, create spreadsheets, and analyze data.
* Valid, clean driver's license and willingness to travel.
