This unique not-for-profit organisation are currently seeking a Finance Manager to join their team on a permanent basis following a recent promotion. You will be responsible for the full financial management of several critical entities within the group structure, covering all things financial and management accounts, to business planning and budgeting.
The key duties of this Finance Manager are as follows:
1. Take the lead in the production of the statutory accounts for your designated entities.
2. Full responsibility for producing the quarterly management accounts for your entities, including the preparation of accruals and prepayments.
3. Manage the external audit process according to the various timelines of each entity, preparing the schedules and responding to queries in a timely fashion.
4. Ensure that all regulatory returns are completed accurately and maintain relationships with key contacts at HMRC and the bank.
5. Lead the annual budget setting process, working closely with the management team in each entity to understand requirements and challenge assumptions as required.
6. Support your stakeholders in the setting of rents and service charges, ensuring any changes in legislation have been accounted for.
This is a brilliant role for someone with a strong background in financial accounts who is now looking to step into a more varied role that offers a significant degree of autonomy from day one and the genuine potential for future progression. Furthermore, although the organisation are based in South-West London, opportunities to work from home up to two days per week will be on offer.
The successful candidate will have:
7. Demonstrable experience of producing end-to-end statutory accounts, either in practice or industry.
8. Ideally, achieved their full accountancy qualification.
9. The ability to evidence experience leading audit processes.
10. Brilliant communication skills and the ability to work on their own initiative.
11. Ideally, a background working in the social housing sector, but this is by no means essential.
