What You Will Be Doing:
Key Responsibilities
As Engineering Scheduler / Planner, you will play a crucial role being responsible for the planning and scheduling of specified engineering maintenance work including preventative, ad hoc and project work carried out by the department. Liaison with Production Planning to facilitate required work and business needs, ensuring required spares are available through engineering stores liaison and communication and provide site support to stores department. Support engineering improvements through proficient use of the engineering CMMS, providing reporting and creation/amendment of PPMs. Maintain contractor database and ensure all documentation is filed and available as required.
Support site safety & compliance by providing administrative support of statutory maintenance e.g., LOLER and Pressure Vessels. Also being responsible for site contractor approval data base, ensuring only approved contractors attend site and have completed site inductions.
In this role you will:
* Schedule/Plan PPM's, Ad Hoc and departmental project work
* Liaise with Production planning team and operational staff
* Ensure spares are available via stores liaison and provide site support to stores team
* Provide administrative control of statutory maintenance
* Support Maintenance Manager/Compliance Team with internal/external audits
* Proficient user of CMMS
* Maintain contractor database and ensure all documentation is filed and available as required
* Check contractors coming to site are approved and inductions completed by Hosts. Liaise with Hosts where approval process needs to be completed.
* Carry out contractor inductions as required
What We Are Looking For:
* Proficient in using Microsoft Office including Outlook/Excel
* Able to communicate across all levels of the business
* Confident to learn how to use a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
* Engineering knowledge is desirable, but not essential
* Carry out all activities on site in compliance of quality, health, safety and the environment (including safe working practices and risk assessments).
* An understanding and working knowledge of contractor control and permit requirements in relation to the site is desirable but not essential
* Contribute to the overall effectiveness, compliant & efficient operation of the site.
* Communicate all relevant information in a professional manner
* Demonstrate flexibility in order to ensure continuous cover within the department whilst effectively managing your own workload.
