About Pontefract Academies Trust
Pontefract Academies Trust is a cross phase Multi-Academy Trust comprising of nine schools: seven primaries and two 11-16 secondary schools. Our mission is running high quality, high achieving schools that give our children and young people the chance in life they deserve.
The Trust is renowned for its commitment to excellence and has achieved remarkable success. Our primary outcomes at Key Stage 2 now sit 27% above the national average, with five out of the seven in the top 5% in the country for combined outcomes. About the role
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, hardworking and committed Exams and Cover Officer at Carleton High School.
The successful candidate will oversee and manage all aspects of examination organisation, including entries and results coordination at the school. They will handle examination entries and collaborate with key staff members to ensure smooth examination processes, adhering to exam board requirements and maintaining accurate exam timetables.
They will also be responsible for the day to day cover arrangements for unplanned absences in school.
This is a 37 hours per week, term time plus ten days, permanent contract, equating to 200 working days per year.
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic person who:
* has the ability to work consistently, prioritise and delegate appropriately, the handle pressure and to work to deadlines
* can work effectively as part of a team and apply directions/instructions but can also work independently using their own initiative
* has the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing with pupils, staff and other partners, including senior leaders
* is able to use initiative and develop creative and imaginative solutions to solve problems
