The LTS Professional & Business Services LEAMIS Team are looking to recruit a Software Specialist. This exciting opportunity has arisen with the expansion and diversification of our service catalogue to our 250+ supported schools and academies across Leicestershire and surrounding counties.
We are an accredited MIS support team by our partners SIMS, Access, Bromcom MIS and Finance, Arbor, and Scholarpack, and we look forward to the successful candidate joining us in delivering services to our supported schools.
About the Role
Ideally, the successful candidate will be an innovative and dynamic individual, with an understanding and hands-on experience of schools FAS (Finance Accounting Systems) and MIS (Schools Management Information Systems). You will be working across Software and Finance teams as well as working independently to contribute and promote our range of services.
This role will be for a 12-month temporary contract in the first instance, to support the transition of the School Financial Services remodel and the introduction of Access Budgets to the majority of Local Authority Maintained schools and to diversify and expand our service catalogue.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
* Support and promote the delivery of Access Budgets.
* Support and promote the delivery of accredited school supported FAS and MIS systems to LA maintained and academy schools.
* Support LEAMIS Software Specialist, Servicedesk, Schools Financial Advisers.
* Review and make recommendations for new service offerings under the guidance of the Head of Professional & Business Services and Senior Software Business Specialist and provide expertise in their development.
* Ensure that services are delivered to agreed SLAs in an accurate, efficient, and timely manner.
* Deliver, promote, coordinate, produce, and develop our MIS/FAS services using a variety of techniques, including formal presentations, training delivery, webinars, onsite training, and remote sessions.
This role will be responsible for income generation and contributing successfully to the income targets within this team.
About You
To apply for this post, you must:
* Have hands-on experience of schools (FAS Finance Accounting Systems) and MIS (Schools Management Information Systems).
* Hold NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) or achieved proficiency in SFIA skills at Level 2.
* Possess good customer care skills with demonstrable experience where customers are engaged on a daily basis.
* Have practical experience of Microsoft Office suite and operating platforms.
* Be able to present clearly and effectively to a range of audiences and possess excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities and work to deadlines.
* Provide clear, accurate, concise written documentation.
* Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to work with team members to achieve agreed objectives.
