CNC Profile Machine Operator\n\nAn opportunity for an experienced CNC Profile machine operator to join an exciting manufacturing organisation.\n\nYou will be proficient operating CNC profiling equipment (Bystronic/Esprit/Trumpf) as instructed by supervision to produce a variety of high-quality products in line with customers’ requirements.\n\nReporting to the Profiling Team leader, you will work as part of the profile machining team ensuring that you are producing products meeting the correct client specifications, maintaining the company’s focus on quality, cost, and delivery.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nResponsible for ensuring the machine operation plan is executed to the timescales required and to the required drawing/specifications, highlighting any deviation to the specification in a timely manner and through the correct channels.\n\nWork methodically through tasks to ensure quality is not compromised when under time constraints.\n\nFacilitate maximum machine utilisation with minimum ‘down time.’\n\nHighlight any issues to your team leader/production manager in a timely manner to ensure that the production schedule is not impacted.\n\nPrepare and load raw material and parts onto the machines.\n\nSet and operate the machines to produce fabricated parts.\n\nMaintain plant and equipment and ensure appropriate spares are available. Carry out machine maintenance as required.\n\nSupervise the machinery and make necessary adjustments to produce quality results.\n\nPerforming operations such as drilling, tapping, sawing, grinding, bending and finishing as required.\n\nLiaise with the profiling, production and engineering teams to clarify requirements.\n\nEnsure consumable materials are readily available and notify through the correct channels of any low consumable stocks prior to stock outage.\n\nEnsure efficient storage and identification of raw materials.\n\nProvide accurate documentation as required.\n\nMaintain product traceability and compliance to the required standards.\n\nProvide guidance, advice and expertise regarding machine setting, operating, training and general problem solving. Training others as requested, ensuring training is understood and that the trainee is competent to perform tasks safely and within the correct timescales.\n\nContribute ideas to quality led improvement projects that drive for excellence.\n\nSupport overall Quality performance and adhere that quality policies and procedures are adhered to.\n\nMaintain established housekeeping standards and practices.
Responsible for housekeeping standard of equipment and work areas\n\nComply with all Health & Safety requirements.\n\nComply with all Company policies and procedures.\n\nEssential skills and experience for this role are as follows,\n\nKnowledge of CNC profiling is essential i.e. Laser / Plasma / Waterjet.\n\nProficient in reading, understanding and interpreting Engineering drawings and specifications.\n\nIT Literate with Windows applications\n\nMin 2 years of CNC profiling experience on of the following machines – Plasma (Espirit), Waterjet (Bystronic) or Laser (Trumpf)\n\nAbility to use measuring equipment such as but not limited to tape measures, Vernier calipers.\n\nUnderstanding of different material grades.\n\nDisposition (Required critical behaviours):\n\n * Flexible can-do attitude\n\n * Able to prioritise own workload to meet deadlines.\n\n * Able to work as part of a team.\n\n * Good written and verbal communication skills\n\n * Excellent attention to detail and focus on quality at all times.\n\n * Self-motivated and confident when taking responsibility for all areas of work.\n\n * Flexibility to work shifts and overtime as required to support business needs.\n\n * Drive for improvement\n\nThis will be a day shift role Monday to Friday with occasional opportunities to work night shifts at higher rates of pay.\n\nAdditional benefits offered.\n\n * Monday to Friday (half day Friday) with overtime (overtime premium paid)\n\n * 25 days holidays per year + Bank Holidays\n\n * Company Pension Scheme – Company contributes 7%.\n\n * Death in Service life insurance scheme\n\n * Personal Injury scheme\n\n * Salary sacrifice schemes including cycle to work.\n\n * Referral programme (up to £750)\n\n * Onsite parking\n\n * Early finish on a Friday\n\n * Onsite canteen and takeaway – Free meals\n\nThe organisation offers a great working environment with access to exciting projects with a genuine opportunity to develop your career longer term.\n\nIf you feel that you have the required experience as above, then we'd like to hear from you
