Job Summary:
As a TIG Welder/Fabricator, you will be responsible for welding and fabricating a variety of precision sheet metal components. You will work with thin materials, typically ranging from 0.9mm to 5mm, ensuring high-quality, aesthetically precise welds. You will follow technical drawings and specifications to assemble, weld, and fabricate components to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Perform TIG welding on thin-gauge sheet metal, including stainless steel, aluminum, and mild steel, ranging from 0.9mm to 5mm in thickness.
2. Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate welding and fabrication of components.
3. Use a variety of hand and power tools, including grinders, cutters, and deburring equipment, to finish welded parts and fabricate assemblies.
4. Set up, adjust, and maintain TIG welding equipment to achieve high-quality, precision welds.
5. Fabricate and assemble metal components, including forming, bending, cutting, and fitting parts as required.
6. Perform quality checks to ensure welds and fabricated parts meet all required specifications and tolerances.
7. Ensure that all work is carried out in compliance with safety regulations and company standards.
8. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following all safety protocols and proper handling of equipment and materials.
9. Work efficiently within the assigned hours to meet production targets and deadlines.
Requirements:
1. Proven experience in TIG welding, particularly with thin sheet metal.
2. Proficiency in working with stainless steel, aluminum, and mild steel, particularly with thicknesses ranging from 0.9mm to 5mm.
3. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
4. Strong attention to detail, with a focus on precision and quality.
5. Knowledge of various metal fabrication techniques, such as bending, forming, and cutting.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, high-precision manufacturing environment.
7. Willingness to work the scheduled hours: Monday - Thursday, 3:00 PM - 12:30 AM; Friday, 11:30 AM - 4:30 PM.
