* Location: Hatfield (AL10)
* Salary: £23,795 Per Annum + 20% Shift Allowance for hours worked between 22:00 - 06:00
* Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday 18:30 - 03:00
* Contract: Permanent
What you'll be doing
Our Hatfield Sort is looking to recruit experienced Control Room Operators. If you've previously worked within the logistics environment, or in a similar Control Room environment then this is the ideal role for you.
The role of Control Room Operator carries out the day-to-day Control Room operations ensuring agreed service levels are maintained and the site runs in a cost-effective manner supporting the strategic direction of the wider business. You will work with the Transport and Sort Centre team on a daily basis.
You will oversee the effective execution of all planned inbound and outbound activity for the sort, liaising effectively with the Sort & Transport teams to hit targeted expectations. You'll communicate any operational issues in a timely manner and work closely with the Managers and Engineers on site to ensure appropriate action is taken.
What you need to show us
This role would suit a strong communicator who is computer literate looking to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment. It isn't a necessity to have experience in this type of role, but knowledge of a Transport/Logistics environment would be beneficial.
