Support the operations of the legal team through legal tasks, owning and enhancing process GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) : Supports the operations of the global privacy team through basic compliance, regulatory tasks & oversees process execution as process lead, managing process and admin.
Any UK location will be considered within commuting distance to a Mace office (London / Birmingham / Manchester / Winchester / Exeter / Bristol).
You'll be responsible for :
Providing data protection regulatory advice and support to Mace globally, supported as necessary by more senior members of the data protection team.
Responding (as appropriate) to a range of GDPR queries, requesting assistance where required.
Supporting and carrying out review of UK data protection provisions in contracts, DPAs (Data Protection Authorities) & other documents with support from more senior members of the GDPR team.
Co-managing GDPR requests from data subjects, such as DSARs (Data Subject Access Requests), access requests and data subject rights.
Supporting the GDPR team with incident and breach management, investigation and notifications (under supervision).
Supporting with the delivery of training, legal and GDPR research on data protection matters, initially in the UK and then for specified jurisdictions, with support.
Providing assistance with the communication / roll-out of the ROPA (Record of Processing Activities) under instruction.
Supporting with the regulatory registrations and certifications process globally, including first point of liaison with the regulatory authorise for these requests (under supervision).
Checking & managing the DSARs, SARs (Subject Access Requests), regulatory internal monitoring, audit and reporting, including, updating and maintenance of these internal registers, managing the data compliance assistant on these tasks and processes.

Work towards a GDPR qualification i.e. CIPPE (Certified Information Privacy Professional Europe) or equivalent / relevant industry experience.
Experience of reviewing and amended Data Protection clauses and Contracts (DPA's) in the UK and EU.
