Having initially delivered enhanced and critical care to a range of events, ECS now oversees the medical cover to a range of large-scale events each year, whilst also operating 24/7 frontline ambulance and clinical services and providing medical education at all levels. 2023 has seen ECS launch a brand-new Education Centre and expand its provision to include both undergraduate and postgraduate education programmes. 2023 has seen ECS open a brand-new HQ - look at our new facilities.We are currently looking for Paramedics within the Southampton and Portsmouth area.
Your new role
Whilst the role will primarily be focussed towards frontline delivery, it will give you exposure to a variety of service environments that will contribute to your professional and clinical development. You will work alongside a passionate multidisciplinary team, utilising your clinical skills to carry out first aid and minor treatments, through to urgent and emergency care, treating patients within a defined scope of practice. The role is ideal for Paramedics who aspire to develop their clinical skills by responding to a range of emergency and non-emergency situations whilst delivering high quality, professional andpassionate care.As part of our ambulance services, you may be required to undertake routine Patient Transport, Urgent Care GP Admissions, Inter-facility transfers or respond to 999 emergency calls on our frontline contracts.As part of our event activity, you will have the opportunity to work at high profile events across the country, ensuring timely and effective care to patients irrespective of injury, illness or location.You will engage with CPD opportunities, displaying the organisation’s values and professionalism in all engagements.Job Summary Operational Delivery
1. Use your advanced driving skills to respond to medical emergencies
2. Safely transfer patients to and from ambulances, using specialist equipment and manual handling skills
3.
Work alongside other clinicians responding to a range of ambulance activities
4. Carry out equipment checks of ambulances to ensure they are safe for operational use
5.
Carry out all duties, working within the defined scope of practice and adhering to protocols, policies, SOP’s and clinical guidelines, seeking appropriate clinical advice and/or support as required.
6. Deliver high quality patient care across a range of operational activity
7. Operate within the scope of practice and ensure high quality, appropriate patient contact and documentation
8. Ensure that clinical standards are met and exceeded at all times, making effective clinical decisions within guidelines and policies & procedures
9. Treat patients with respect and dignity and maintain confidentiality in relation to personal data, ensuring it is processed lawfully.
10. You will lead the assessment of patients and administer care in high pressure situations.
