About the role
We are delighted to share that we are recruiting for 2 Technologist roles within our Food Technical Team; Meat, Fish, Poultry & Eggs – (added value products) and Dairy.
This role will see the successful candidates deliver safe, legal, responsibly sourced, quality products for their area, always focusing on our customers and demonstrating value-led behaviour.
This position would suit someone with relevant experience/qualification(s) with the ability to deliver safe, legal, responsibly sourced products to the customer.
You will be responsible for
* Risk assessing my products to be safe, legal, responsibly sourced and meet the Tesco rules & policies.
* Supporting and delivering the technical aspects of the product development critical path.
* Supporting the delivery our our health and responsible sourcing agenda across my supply base.
* Managing my products to always be great quality through on-going monitoring and improvements.
* Supporting the management of risk in our supply chains, from source, ingredients and raw materials, processing, manufacturing and Tesco routes to market. (safety, business & reputational risks)
* Supporting the supplier strategy for my area, ensuring we use the best suppliers & sources.
* Supporting the development of supplier capability through collaborative engagement, setting clear goals and measuring progress. I do this by having Joint Quality Plans (JQPs) in place with all relevant suppliers.
* Responding to complaints and incidents quickly and effectively, ensuring stakeholders are aware and relevant action is taken to protect customers and Tesco.
* I challenge myself to learn new skills and keep abreast of the latest thinking in my industry to help drive innovation.
* Developing and coaching my direct reports and supporting them to be their best.
* Following our Business Code of Conduct, acting with integrity and due diligence.
You will need
* Relevant degree/qualifications in related area
* Experience of working in the food/GNF industry
* Relevant product knowledge to deliver safe, legal, responsibly sourced products to the customer.
* Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
