Head of Marketing - B2B Publishing - London - 12 Month Mat Cover Contract
*You must have at least 6 years' commercial experience in creating and delivering Marketing campaigns for Global B2B subscriptions / publishing products, events, awards, rankings, accreditations, or benchmarking products and team management experience in order to be considered for this role*
This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast growing B2B publishing business a Head of Marketing for 12 months to cover Maternity Leave. The successful candidate will take a lead role in developing the marketing strategy and delivering it across a portfolio of subscription & intelligence products, events (conferences and awards) and client marketing solutions.
Leading a marketing team of seven, you will have strong experience in B2B publishing or intelligence/research/benchmarking or accreditations products with a track record of revenue growth.
Requirements:
* At least 6 years' B2B marketing experience (publishing, subscriptions, events, benchmarketing, accreditation products, etc)
* Experience with Salesforce, Pardot, Marketo, or similar preferred
* Strong team management experience
* Experience working with sales / business development functions
* Significant experience in analysing data and the ability to convert data into meaningful insight
* Significant experience working in Analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics)
* Significant experience in owned, earned and paid marketing channels
* IT Literate; MS office, advanced Excel
Main responsibilities:
* Identify audience segments to ensure product positioning and value propositions align with needs.
* Boost brand awareness for products by strengthening the narrative around rankings, awards, subscriptions, and events.
* Collaborate with the commercial and research teams to enhance go-to-market strategy, improving market penetration and engagement.
* Create a top-tier framework for marketing awards and research/surveys to build brand equity and generate commercial opportunities.
* Optimize the submissions process for better targeting, conversion rates, and a seamless user experience.
* Increase year-over-year submissions across all awards and rankings products.
* Support the achievement of £2m in content marketing revenue, confidently engaging with commercial clients and communicating through various digital channels, including email, paid media, and social media.
* Work with the team to measure marketing ROI and reduce cost per acquisition (CPA).
* Oversee subscriptions marketing programs to drive demand and convert potential customers.
* Manage the events marketing team and collaborate with senior stakeholders to implement an efficient program that attracts delegates and attendees.
* Regularly present results and insights to commercial stakeholders.
* Foster a culture of innovation, experimentation, and knowledge sharing.
* Lead a team of marketers, supporting their career development, goal-setting, and conducting quarterly performance reviews.
This is initially a 12 Month contract, with the possibility of being extended or turning permanent beyond this.
