Billing Assurance & Pre Billing Lead
Here's what you'll be doing npower Business Solutions (nBS) powered by E.ON is a leading £5 billion revenue business with a vision to become the number one B2B energy supplier in the UK. We serve approximately 60,000 customers and manage around 300,000 meter points in the Industrial and Commercial (I&C) sector.
We have an exciting opportunity for x2 Billing Assurance and Pre-Billing Leads to join our team on a fixed-term contract basis until 31/12/2025. For this role, you will be responsible for conducting assurance of the I&C Billing Services to ensure the effective and compliant billing of all products, charges and commodities in line with the relevant legislation. This role will offer the hybrid working approach, where you will be working in the office (Solihull) 1-2 days per week.
Key responsibilities
Conducting Pre-Billing Checks to identify any possible bill failures, Premise issues and Taxation issues prior to the cyclic billing run to enable accurate and timely billing of power and gas commodity, and other products and services.
Conducting self-assessment audits and assurance checks to support full compliance across Billing & Accounts.
Conducting root cause analysis of any bill failures, considering Billing team feedback.
Conducting analysis on the Current Unbilled position, ensuring all stakeholders are aware of the current position.
Investigating billing data to assure the application of tax policy across the customer base to ensure this is done in a compliant, fair and consistent way.
Maintaining an operational framework for Tax Assurance alongside the Tax team to ensure legislation is applied in a consistent and fair manner.
Supporting change with IT and partners to drive efficiency and quality improvements. What we need from you
Detailed knowledge and experience of complex billing products and services in an Industrial & Commercial environment including understanding of industry charges, flex products and taxation.
Experience in working with complex customers groups to deliver solutions.
Strong organisational skills with ability to balance tactical and strategic business priorities.
The ability to work with multiple stakeholders in an increasingly cost/investment constrained environment with a passion for delivering financial value, customer and operational excellence.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. It would be great if you had
