Physical Education (PE) Teacher Required - Secondary School in Lambeth - January 2025 Start A thriving secondary school in the diverse and vibrant borough of Lambeth is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Physical Education (PE) Teacher to join their successful department. This is a full-time, permanent position commencing in January 2025. The Role: The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching PE across Key Stages 3 and 4. Key responsibilities include: Planning and delivering engaging and challenging lessons that meet the requirements of the national curriculum and inspire students to develop their physical literacy, health, and well-being. Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation, sportsmanship, and teamwork. Assessing and monitoring student progress, providing constructive feedback, and implementing differentiated learning strategies to cater to diverse learning needs and abilities. Delivering a broad and balanced PE curriculum, including a variety of sports and physical activities. Contributing to the school's extra-curricular sports programme and promoting healthy lifestyles. The Successful Candidate will have: A degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification. A strong understanding of the KS3 and KS4 Physical Education curriculum. Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for sports and physical activity. Strong classroom and behaviour management skills, and the ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
