An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Stock Management Specialist to join our team. The Parenteral Services Unit is a busy manufacturing unit specialising in preparation of Chemotherapy and Parenteral Nutrition.
The Stock Management Specialist will play a crucial role in the safe, efficient operation of the unit, ensuring that essential materials are available, inventory is accurately managed, and all handling processes meet the strict regulatory standards in place for aseptic manufacture in an NHS pharmacy unit.
The successful candidate will be required to work within a large Pharmacy team, and must be able to communicate complex information effectively and appropriately with internal and external stakeholders.
The successful candidate must have excellent time management skills, an ability to manage their own workload and have experience in staff supervision and training.
As this is a newly created role, the successful candidate will have the unique opportunity to shape and define it, bringing their own expertise and vision to the role.
Stock ordering
The post-holder will hold overall responsibility for all ordering and procurement activities as detailed in the Job Description / Person Specification document attached
Stock control
The post-holder will lead on managing stock checks, booking out activities, and investigating discrepancies as detailed in the Job Description / Person Specification document attached
