The Housing Management Team are looking for a Housing Officer position. The role will involve working with a diverse community and being responsible for all aspects of tenancy management including lettings, assignments and successions, enforcement of conditions of tenancy, unauthorised occupation and terminations of tenancies. The Housing Officer role will act as a front-line Officer representing DDC when out and about in the community,

What Are We Looking For?
- Excellent IT skills including Word, Excel, using systems, financial packages and report writing.
- Good negotiation skills.
- The ability to build effective relationships and partnerships with stakeholders.
- An ability to communicate effectively with residents, senior officers and external organisations.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to persuade, influence others and use professional curiosity.
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Ability to work alone to carry out site and home visits.
- Good teamwork skills.
- Has experience of dealing with conflict.
- Is flexible in order to support business needs.
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage own workload and diary.
- Good understanding of housing and tenancy law.
- Demonstrable housing delivery experience.
- Experience within a housing related or similar organisation.
- Experience of planning and implementing change.
- GCSE English and Maths Grade C or above (Grades 4-9) or equivalent.
- Housing Qualification CIH (Desirable).
