1-1 SEN Teaching Assistant
Tradewind Recruitment are actively looking for a 1-1 SEN Teaching Assistant to work with a student with SEMH within a mainstream secondary school in Derbyshire. The role is to start after Easter holidays on an ongoing basis for at least until July 2025.
The role of an SEN Teaching Assistant includes:
* Provide 1-1 support to a student with SEMH needs ensuring their individual needs are met.
* Assist in the implementation of personalised learning plans, EHCPS, adapting activities and resources as necessary.
* Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the SENCO and teaching staff as well as outside agencies.
* Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to ensure a positive outcome for the student.
Requirements:
* Experience of working with young people with additional needs or have a background in the care sector.
* Ideally be CACHE level 3 but the school would consider level 2 applications.
* Patience, empathy and a genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs.
* Hold or be willing to apply for an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks.
* CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible.
* Legal right to work in the UK.
