Responsibilities
:
1. Successfully deliver Interior Electronics / Switch Controls for various product line within the business
2. Technical ownership of various Interior Electronics / Switch Controls through Engineering, development, integration and validation of various electrical modules (ECUs, Sensors and Actuators etc.) into the overall vehicle electrical architecture in collaboration with Functional Departments, technical partners and Tier 1 suppliers.
3. Own Commodity attributes such as Quality, Costs, Timing, Homologation, Weight and ensure they are within business targets.
4. Own Engineering Sign-off of the electrical components through the development process of DFMEA, DFA, DFM, DVP&R, Test & Validation, EMC, FuSa, Cyber Security
5. Work closely with other departments such as Quality, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Programs, Logistics, Service and workshops
6. Represent the Electrical in project engineering reviews. Also represent GMT in external working groups relating to the responsible components / ECUs.
Qualifications & Experience
7. Minimum 7 years of experience in automotive Interior Electronics / Switch Packs development
8. Good understanding Automotive New Product Development Process, Milestones and deliverables for each phases
9. Demonstrable experience of electrical component's development and manufacture for multiple projects
10. Working knowledge of CAN, FlexRay, automotive ethernet, LIN networks and vehicle diagnostics.
11. Working knowledge of relevant homologation standards, ISO and EuroNCAP
12. Understanding of Functional Safety and Cyber Security requirements for a global market vehicle
13. Notable experience in using various engineering development tools (Polarion, JIRA etc.) and collaborative platforms such as Microsoft Office
14. Honor's Degree in Electrical & Electronics, Honor's degree in similar areas such as Electronics, Control Systems, Automotive acceptable with relevant experience in the field
15. Other recognised engineering qualifications combined with relevant significant experience will be considered.
16. Additional professional qualifications and Project Management - desired
17. Possession of full driving licence is essential.
18. Articulate, self-motivated and able to work well on own initiative to achieve goals & objectives
19. Good problem-solving and critical thinking mindset to create reports and metrics with supporting data
20. Excellent communication skills at all levels of business internally and externally with partners and suppliers
21. Positive but flexible attitude to achieve business goals and milestones
