Alfa Leisureplex Group has an opportunity for a Commis Chef to join the team at The Cumberland Hotel, Scarborough.
Commis Chef working hours:
As a Commis Chef you will work 30 hours per week, including weekends & split shifts with an hourly rate of £13.10, regardless of age, which will be increased to £13.75 in April 2025!
Commis Chef Responsibilities:
As a Commis Chef you will assist with all aspects of the kitchen operation from the preparation, cooking and serving of food, to maintaining high standards of cleanliness in the kitchen at all times. You will be involved in stock rotation, labelling and cleaning of equipment to ensure maximum organisation and compliance. You will work closely with the Head and Second Chefs, making this an ideal opportunity for any candidates looking to progress their career in the kitchen.

Essential Skills:
Experience in a similar role
Passionate about cookery with demonstrable experience of working within a team
Strong communication skills
Understanding of all aspects related to food safety regulations
Ability to learn new skills quickly
Ability to work under the pressure of a busy kitchen whilst maintaining attention to detail
Positive, can-do attitude
Desirable Skills:
