Main duties of the job
We are looking for somebody who is highly passionate about volunteer management and who will take responsibility for coordinating the recruitment and engagement of Trust volunteers in collaboration with staff Volunteer Supervisors, significantly expanding and sustaining our volunteer workforce.
You will support working with all departments across the Trust to identify and develop new volunteering opportunities to enhance the work of staff and patient care.
You will play a significant role in building rapport with teams ensuring volunteer management policies and procedures are adhered to.
We are looking for a focused individual who has strong experience of delivering operational support within tight deadlines.
The role requires a good level of IT skills as you will be working with our volunteer management system (full training will be given).
This role will be key in supporting us to maintain the benefits of our volunteering development journey and helping us deepen our volunteering impact.

Qualifications
* Educated to GCSE standard (5 GCSE including Maths & English grade C or above) or equivalent
* Train the Trainer or other teaching qualification
Experience
* Experience of managing or coordinating volunteers in health or in the voluntary sector
* Experience of managing, supporting and developing volunteers
* Knowledge and experience of working in or with the health or voluntary sector, understanding the benefits and challenges of involving volunteers
* Experience of co-ordinating recruitment and engagement events and activities
* Experience of relationship building and partnership working with a wide range of stakeholders
* Experience delivering informal presentations and training
* Experience of developing reports in relation to delivering/monitoring contracts, annual reports and data and insight.
* Experience of training and supporting people to take part in volunteering or other involvement activities
* Experience of using communication, promotion plans and tactics
* Experience of managing or supporting projects
Knowledge
* Knowledge and/or experience of high quality volunteer recruitment, placement and administration
* Extensive skills in Microsoft office applications and volunteer databases
* Understanding of the volunteering and Health and Social Care environment and latest trends
* Knowledge of governance and legislation related to organisations involving volunteers
