Join our client- Unity in North Ayrshire as a Carers Support Officer (Health Services). This exciting role offers the chance to support carers through hospital discharge processes, ensure they know their rights under the Carers Act (Scotland) 2016, and help build a healthcare culture that values carers as equal partners in care. About Unity: Unity Carer Centres support unpaid carers of all ages in South and North Ayrshire (including Arran and Cumbrae). They offer specialist advice, advocacy, respite through day trips, health and wellbeing services, social activities, and peer support. Key Responsibilities: As a Carers Support Officer, you will: Build strong links across community health settings and work closely with hospital, social work, and Discharge without Delay teams. Provide carers with essential information, advice, and advocacy. Facilitate carer involvement in discharge planning to ease transitions and reduce stress. Promote carer-centered approaches within the healthcare system, influencing best practices. Maintain accurate case management records and ensure smooth referrals within and beyond North Ayrshire. What Were Looking For: Were seeking compassionate individuals with: Qualifications: Minimum of Standard Grade General Level (or equivalent) in four subjects, including English (essential). HND in a related qualification is desirable. Experience: Experience in working with carers, managing projects, or relatable voluntary experience. Skills: Strong IT skills and a full driving license (essential). Knowledge: Familiarity with healthcare systems and localities in North Ayrshire is a plus. Why Join Us?
