We are in the animal health business, partnering with our clients in the areas of Research, Development & Innovation (RD&I) and Manufacturing to produce pharmaceuticals for both farm and companion animals. About the role:
As a role model of HSE practices, you will lead initiatives to improve safety at Argenta and ensure the site operates within the standards of a top-tier COMAH site. We are looking for a high performer who can build strong working relationships with colleagues across departments. As the sole HSE specialist, you will provide governance and oversight on all HSE matters, ensuring high standards of safety, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement. You will work closely with leadership and teams to enforce HSE policies and foster a culture of safety.
About you:
You will have experience in a highly regulated pharmaceutical or manufacturing environment and strong leadership skills. With a proactive, solutions-oriented approach, you excel in driving change and delivering measurable results. You will possess excellent relationship-building, communication, and reporting skills. Naturally energetic and driven, you will have a keen focus on quality and attention to detail, essential in meeting the stringent pharmaceutical regulations we adhere to.
Your background, experience, and attributes will include:
1. Significant knowledge of health and safety legislation, with the ability to serve as the primary point of contact on HSE actions for regulatory authorities
2. Demonstrated knowledge of safety legislation and current practices
3. Effective communication and presentation skills and the ability to work with internal and external customers
4. Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and operate in a highly matrixed environment
5. Experience in the development and implementation of various HSE initiatives
6. High energy and commitment
7. A good understanding of factory processes and technology
8. Strong investigation and problem-solving capabilities
