Job Summary
We are now seeking to recruit a Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Older People South Leicestershire CMHT on a full-time or part-time basis. You will work in partnership with members of well-established multi-disciplinary teams, both operationally and strategically, to drive forward innovation delivering the best effective care for our patients. Every opportunity will be given to encourage personal initiatives, research, specialist interests, teaching, training, management, and leadership.
Main Duties of the Job
* Deliver the highest quality of clinical care to our patients and carers.
* Work in partnership at both strategic and operational levels with relevant and external stakeholders.
* Ensure that people who use services, carers, and advocates are treated with respect and dignity.
* Provide excellent clinical leadership and actively develop your team.
* Liaise with General Practitioners, hospital and community specialists, and other agencies as necessary.
* Engage with the development of your Job Plan.

Qualifications
* GMC Registration
* GMC Licence to Practice
* Medical Qualification
* MRC Psych or equivalent
* Specialist Register (Subspecialty Old Age)
* CCT or equivalent
* Eligible for CCT or equivalent within 6 months of the interview date
* Approved/eligible for approval for Section 12 of Mental Health Act
* Approved/eligible for approval for Approved Clinician status
* Awareness of research methods and understanding of application of research findings in service development
Experience
* Clinical expertise in specialty/sub specialty as defined by the relevant SAC of the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
Disclosure and Barring Service Check
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such, it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
