St John's College School currently has vacancies for Cover Teachers to join our existing teaching team on an ad hoc basis. St John's has enjoyed a long national reputation for the exceptional quality of teaching it provides to its pupils.
Duties will include:
* Following lesson plans where it has been possible to provide these.
* Creating own stand-alone lesson plans where it has not been able to supply cover materials.
* Liaising with colleagues around work to be covered.
* Marking work completed during your lessons, using the school marking policy.
* Where requested, carrying out assessments with the children.
* Leaving notes for the class teacher to explain what has been covered and any difficulties.
* Making yourself aware of any particular needs of the children either by talking to colleagues or asking for information about them.
