To provide the full range of professional assistance to the Company Secretary, in support of the administration of the of the Trust’s corporate governance agenda. The post holder will ensure that the Council of Governors, the Trust Board and its committees operate smoothly and effectively. Together with the Company Secretary they will ensure that all corporate governance activities are undertaken to the highest standards of probity and are align with regulatory and legislative requirements. Main duties of the job Assist the Company Secretary with the oversight and monitoring of the Trust’s governance procedures to ensure the Trust complies with the statutory requirements of health service legislation, the terms of its authorisation and complies with best practice, as detailed in the Foundation Trust Code of Governance. Ensure that the Foundation Trust complies with its constitution, and lead on the regular review of the constitution to update and incorporate amendments through due process.
