Transport Supervisor Menzies Distribution Solutions are currently looking for an experienced Transport Supervisor to join our busy team based in Kettering. You will be responsible for ensuring that all work is distributed whilst complying with Transport Legislation, Health & Safety and customer service requirements. What You Really Want To Know: Salary: £33k Per Annum / £15.11 Per Hour Locaton: NN15 5ZS Pattern: Rotating 4 On/4 Off Days 07:00-19:00 Monthly Pay Parking Onsite Transport Supervisor Duties: Ensure that all deliveries are executed in line with plan provided by the Regional Planning Centre Control and execution of the Day and Night Plan Pre-Brief all drivers to ensure they fully understand the days work and what is required of them De-Brief all drivers to ensure they have completed all required work and any issues challenged have been dealt with. Dealing with issues and resolving issues as they arise through the shift and amending the plan to suit when issues arise to ensure we maintain acceptable customer service levels Minimise/Maximum impact on vehicle earnings to ensure we still hit budgeted vehicle earnings Weekend work may be required from time to time to help cover holidays with either shift swap or overtime. A face to face handover is required to be completed each side of your shift Communicating issues as they arise to relevant stake holders Adhering to and controlling Transport related Compliance Be able to maintain TMS system compliance Conducting investigations and return to work interviews etc as required TMS load creation and TMS system allocation Source local agency drivers as and when required (in conjunction with our PSL) Source local sub-contractors as and when required Co-ordinate and build key KPI reports for customer Ensure accurate trailer checks are completed and sent Ensure that site teams are aware that the loads meet safety standards All other transport office related duties including POD control and scanning Transport Supervisor Requirements: ‘Right To Work’ in the UK Experience of working in a busy Transport office Knowledge of Drivers Hours, Tachograph and WTD legislation Knowledge of Continuous Improvement. Strong negotiating skills Good standard of education IT literate Knowledge of Health & Safety Commercial understanding Knowledge of transport systems.
