Job Title: Account Manager
Reports to: Head of Client Services
Role overview:
You will be the day to day lead and escalation point for internal and external teams for a fast paced and dynamic client, developing and managing relationships and overall effectiveness of the JPG service model.
You will work with all stakeholders to deliver to a set of best working practices that ensures timely and accurate delivery of all services to this client and ensure all expectations are met, alongside supporting the development of the account with the Head of Client Services, to evolve our service provision.
The Project Management team (home based across multiple locations) will fall under your remit to manage from a HR, workload and personal development perspective, providing support and guidance at a day to day level. Recruitment and onboarding of new members to the team will be managed by you with input from the Head of Client Services.
The role will also include some holiday cover for other Account Managers, which will provide exposure to other areas of the business.
The role is based in the UK, hybrid working from home and clients head office (Deeside, North Wales) determined by the needs of the workload, projects and client meetings, but with a minimum of 2 days per week onsite.
Key areas of responsibility:
Responsible for delivering best in class client services and account management to support JPG packaging graphics services.
The role will provide a day to day point of escalation for the client and hold line management responsibilities for JPG Project Managers.
Focus will be on maintaining and developing the existing client relationship, with a view to support the Head of Client Services with growth through the implementation of new services or delivery of specific strategic initiatives.
Breakdown of responsibilities:
· Provide the primary day to day contact and escalation point for all Client and JPG account associated contacts, including but not limited to; Client Program & Packaging Delivery Manager, Trading Managers, Technical, E Commerce, Design, Packaging technologists, JPG Project Management, JPG Production and JPG Print Technical. The role will also require contact with external agencies through suppliers, printers and legal teams.
· To develop strong, trusted relationships to establish, deliver and evolve the JPG service model.
· Direct line management and support for the JPG Project Managers and any other client facing JPG teams with their individual roles and responsibilities, workload allocation and ongoing development.
· Balance workload across Client category allocation to identify high profile or “at risk” projects from initial activity plan and manage these projects personally or in conjunction with assigned JPG Project Manager through to successful delivery. Provide practical support as needed to JPG Project Management team during peak season and holiday periods.
· Work with Client assigned category stakeholders, Program & Packaging delivery manager and the JPG Project Managers to ensure accurate workload activity projections are updated and reported on a weekly basis.
· Work with JPG Production and JPG Project Management teams to provide detailed workload prioritisation to ensure successful delivery in a fast paced environment.
· Work with the JPG Project Managers to ensure that all Client and JPG documentation and systems are utilised as agreed processes to provide clear and accurate briefing information to the JPG studio teams and reporting to the Client stakeholders, ensuring that all Client processes, category meetings and interaction points are followed and managed to the standards required.
· Provide accurate and timely category and team updates to the Head of Client Services through weekly one to one catch up meetings.
· Manage any project wash up meetings with relevant stakeholders, following review with Head of Client Services.
· Assume responsibility for all weekly and monthly reporting for Client. Provide Quarterly review data.
· Assume responsibility for monthly financial checks and invoicing.
· Support other Account Managers as needed through holiday and peak periods.
· Gain a basic understanding of the Head of Client Services responsibilities specifically for this client to ensure cover can be provided in the Account Directors absence.
Key Qualities / skills
· Exceptional client facing and management skills with the ability to communicate concisely and effectively.
· Significant project management background, with experience in retail packaging artwork a must. Knowledge of E commerce, mock ups, print knowledge would be beneficial.
· Proven background of working within a pressurised environment.
· Minimum of 1 year experience leading a team.
· Ability to multitask and prioritise time allocation across multiple stakeholder groups and active tasks.
· Strategic thinking to enable effective decision making.
· Tenaciousness, positivity, flexibility, confidence and determination are all vital attributes for this role.
