Job Introduction
We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Receptionist to join our team at HMRC Croydon. As the first point of contact for visitors, you will be responsible for delivering outstanding customer service and ensuring the smooth running of front-of-house operations.
What you’ll do:
* Provide a welcoming and professional reception service.
* Answer phone calls, process emails, and manage administrative tasks.
* Issue security passes and follow security protocols.
* Assist with meeting room bookings, including delivering refreshments.
* Support other departments as needed (e.g., café, mailroom, cleaning).
* Report maintenance and safety issues promptly.
* Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and site security procedures.
* Assist in setting up furniture and preparing rooms for meetings.
* Maintain high personal hygiene and professional appearance.
What you bring:
* Previous receptionist or customer service experience is desirable.
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* A proactive and professional approach to work.
* Willingness to undertake additional duties when required.
