Job Title: Water Treatment Service Chemist
Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire
Salary / Benefits: 28k - 45k + Training + Benefits
We are working with a nationally recognised and industry leading supplier of Water Treatment services. They are currently recruiting in the Yorkshire region for a Water Treatment Service Chemist to join their team. You will come from a strong chemistry background, with a good knowledge of industrial water systems and hands-on experience working on steam boilers, closed systems, and cooling towers. You will also be responsible for acting as the first point of contact, providing excellent technical support to Food & Beverage and Manufacturing clients, ensuring to maintain and build professional relationships. Experience & Qualifications:
1. Degree educated (Chemistry / Bioscience subject)
2. Will have experience working for a reputable Water Treatment company as a service chemist
3. Excellent technical / chemical knowledge
4. Able to confidently use onsite test kits
5. Experience working on a mixed portfolio of sites
6. Extensive knowledge of HSG 274 / ACoP L8 guidelines
7. Good IT & communication skills
8. Able to build and maintain professional relationships
The Role:
1. Travelling across the Yorkshire / Midlands, visiting a portfolio of food and beverage and manufacturing clients
2. Working on steam boiler, cooling tower, and closed systems carrying out chemical sampling & analysis using onsite test kits
3. Ensuring to dose systems with correct chemicals based on analysis results
4. Creating detailed reports for clients, ensuring to submit in a timely manner
5. Liaising with clients, providing technical support and advice alongside upselling and promoting services and products
6. Producing competitive quotes for clients
7. Ensuring work is carried out in line with ACoP L8 / HSG 274 guidelines
