We are on the lookout for new talent to join our team based out of our Crewe depot as an Operational Trainer and Assessor. You will be responsible for preparing, delivering, and evaluating operational training programs and work-based assessments.

What you will be doing:
1. Delivering safety-critical training including track safety courses, driving courses, technical courses, and specialist tools/equipment training.
2. Developing, implementing, and monitoring the effectiveness of learning programs to ensure that key learning objectives are met.
3. Delivering training and assessments for candidates undertaking vocational qualifications as part of an accredited learning program.
4. Planning required training events allocated to you, liaising with stakeholders to ensure that all resources and candidates are available for delivery.
5. Providing timely and evidence-based assessment decisions to candidates and their line managers, offering balanced and specific feedback.
6. Ensuring quality and consistency of courses delivered for programs where you are identified as the lead trainer.
7. Assisting with the management of the competency framework/matrix to ensure all operational competence is valid and in date.
8. Assisting in the implementation of new work on delivery of relevant training packages to employees during project mobilization.

What do you need to apply?
1. Qualified to a minimum of City and Guilds/BTEC Level 3 within an Engineering discipline.
2. Previous experience within engineering.
3. Previous experience of delivering NVQ national qualifications.
4. Previous experience working within the rail industry with the ability to motivate and encourage people.
5. Accurate report writing and record keeping.
6. Strong understanding of train depot operations and knowledge of rail vehicles (desirable).
7. Valid assessor qualification.
8. Full and valid driving license.
9. Flexibility with regards to travel is essential for this role.
