The Faculty of Science at the University of Greenwich is an inspirational place of learning, which is fully committed to delivering a first class teaching and research experience coupled with pro-active engagement in internationally recognised research. The Faculty is currently looking to expand its research staff base with an enthusiastic individual who has a commitment to the highest standards of research, to enable the Faculty to achieve its strategic directives. An individual is required to join the Boehringer Ingelheim team in the Department of Medway Sciences and the wider Faculty of Science on a full time basis for 12 months to engage in academic research into analysis, solubility and performance of veterinary systems. A solid theoretical background and proven experimental ability to design and undertake multi-disciplinary research within a formulation, analysis and biopharmaceutical arena, in particular the use of analytical and solubility/dissolution methodologies as applied to human and animal health is desirable. Experience within a pharmaceutical industrial setting would be an advantage. The selected candidate will have a current track record of publication and research success in a cognate area of biochemistry or pharmaceutical Science. He or she will undertake research within an interdisciplinary Faculty environment and be actively engaged in enterprise activities. The successful candidate will have a PhD in Chemistry, Biosciences or Pharmaceutical Chemistry.
