Service: 3-bed Residential Children’s Home
Salary: Up to £65,000 + Bonuses
Bonuses: Based on Ofsted rating, occupancy, financial performance, and attendance
About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and dedicated Registered Manager to lead an established 3-bed EBD children’s home in Oldham. The home is already operational, currently providing care for one young person. The successful candidate will take on the responsibility of ensuring the home runs smoothly, continues to deliver exceptional care, and supports the young people in achieving positive outcomes.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Registered Manager or a Deputy Manager ready to take the next step. You’ll be leading a committed team in delivering high-quality care and working collaboratively with a hands-on leadership team.
The Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Ofsted regulations and experience in delivering high-quality care within a children’s residential setting. You’ll need to be resilient, compassionate, and confident in leading a team to provide exceptional outcomes for the young people in your care.
Key qualifications and experience required include:
Qualifications:
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards it)
* QCF Level 3 in Residential Childcare or equivalent
Experience:
* Proven experience in a Deputy Manager or Registered Manager role within a children’s residential home
* A strong track record of managing homes rated Good or Outstanding by Ofsted
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage a team to ensure the highest standards of care for children with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD)
* Ensure compliance with all Ofsted regulations, focusing on delivering positive outcomes for the young people
* Develop and maintain effective care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour management strategies
* Work collaboratively with external professionals such as social services, healthcare providers, and specialist agencies
* Manage occupancy levels and financial performance to ensure the sustainability of the home
* Be a positive role model and create a nurturing environment for both the staff and young people
