Interim position to support the sales function of a highly successful consumer goods business.

This company produces best-in-class consumer goods that are stocked in premium retailers across the globe.
Description
1. Manage the life cycle of rebates/commercial agreements from communication to rebate set up, accruals, journals, reviewing contracts, invoicing/claims, and partnering with regions to review rebates for accuracy, ensuring that a sufficient audit trail is recorded.
2. Understand and uphold policy and controls, taking corrective action or escalating exceptions appropriately.
3. Work on ad-hoc requests and reporting.
4. Hold monthly meetings with the sales department/regions to review rebates/spend.
5. Handle complicated reporting to calculate accruals.
6. Manage high volume adjustments accurately at month-end.
7. Learn, understand, and ensure processes are completed per a monthly calendar (meetings, reporting, month-end close).
8. Build relationships with sales teams in a short amount of time, ensuring frequent meetings occur as required with a stretched sales force.
Profile
1. Advanced Excel skills.
2. Qualified Accountant.
3. History of supporting businesses through similar challenges.
4. Knowledge of Oracle and rebates is highly desirable.
5. Month-end experience is a must.
6. Understanding of accrual accounting and UK GAAP.
Job Offer
The role is Hybrid (2 days in the Wellingborough office and 3 days working from home).
